Lea County Septic Tank Service Leverages Financing to Pump Up Profits

Hobbs, New Mexico, February 20, 2017 - Beacon Funding recognizes Lea County Septic Tank Service, a family owned septic tank service business, for their continued growth and business accomplishments. The success is due, in part, to their decision to expand and finance three pieces of wastewater management equipment with Beacon Funding, a leading equipment financing company.

“We would not have been able to create that new revenue stream if we hadn’t made those improvements by purchasing this equipment and working with Beacon Funding,” said Elijah Taylor II, Co-Owner of Lea County Septic Tank Service.

To keep up with competition and reduce fuel costs, Lea County Septic invested in more equipment. The three newest pieces of equipment were courtesy of the flexible financing Beacon Funding provided for the family business.

Over 50 years ago, Elijah Taylor I started his business with a homemade pump and a converted tank. The business made a name for itself in the community, and Taylor became known for his superior customer service. He soon expanded both his business and family.

Unfortunately, Elijah Taylor I passed away in 2006, but his business and name continued on thanks to his widow, Patricia, and his son, Elijah Taylor II.

As the need to diversify themselves became clear, Pat and Elijah II explored ways to grow. Since they had already added porta potties, roll-off container rentals, restaurant maintenance, and home inspection to their list of products and services, they attended the Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport (WWETT) Show in 2016 to see what other equipment was out there.

At the show, they met two Beacon Funding financing representatives and began their journey to expansion.

Since Beacon has no equipment restrictions and offers flexible financing plans, Lea Country Septic Tank Service was able to finance a dewatering system, screen system, and holding storage tanks with ease. They now manage seven employees, operate 15 pieces of equipment, and own 175 porta potties.

“Beacon Funding was one of the easiest and most helpful processes we’ve been through when it came to financing. It was the best possible deal for what we needed,” Taylor II said.

As a way to highlight the success they found with equipment financing, Lea County Septic Tank Service participated in Beacon Funding’s Success Spotlight Program and earned nationwide recognition for their business accomplishments.
